Day 8 The weekends! I am so thankful for weekends. I work full time all week, so the time that I have to spend with my family is something I always look forward to. The days go by so slow, but the years go by too fast, so I try to take full advantage of the time that we have together. We woke up to more snow, which meant that we were headed outside bright and early to go play!
Day 9Being able to teach and to learn. Knowledge is power and I am fascinatede by how smart and inquisitive my daughter is! She asks a million questions a day and I happily answer every single one. I think it is so important that she be included in anything that I am doing so that she can continue to ask more questions, learn and grow into an educated, confident, self-sufficient little lady!
Day 10Short work weeks! I am always thankful when my company gives extra time off after a holiday. I look forward to spending 4 days with my family! I forsee lots of dancing, singing, laughing, and cuddles with my cutie! I’ve got a few art projects lined up! This year we are painting picture frames and ornaments for the grandmothers!
Day 11 I am so thankful to be a morning person! It is such a great feeling when you wake up bright and early to get a head start on your day! I love the few minutes of alone time that I have to drink my coffee, check my emails and make some breakfast. It may only be a few moments before the rest of the house wakes up, but I’ll take it!
Day 12 Laughter! Is there really anything better than hearing your child laugh? It’s the best part of every day. It’s completely contagious. She can make me laugh so hard, to the point where I am holding my stomach and crying! It truly is the best medicine!
Day 13 I am so thankful to be staying home and cooking for my family this Thanksgiving! A low key dinner, no traveling, just us. I have really enjoyed reflecting on what I am most thankful for the past 13 days. It’s so important to appreciate the little things in life, to stay grounded and humble.
